Barefoot Beach is tucked away just on the Collier and Lee county border and is one of the most gorgeous beach communities in all of the SW Florida Gulf Coast. Barefoot Beach features homes, condos, and villas sharing this incredible location along with 342 acres of the Barefoot Beach Preserve - one of the last undeveloped barrier islands in Florida.
Barefoot Beach is popular for its unsurpassed homes - long considered the "Rodeo Drive" of the area, the properties will delight the most discriminate buyer. Surrounded by nature and elegant homes, three miles of white sandy beach is right outside the door of many of the residents. For those with a taste to boating and fishing the island also backs up to mangrove and intercoastal waterway - supporting Gulf of Mexico access through the Bay for deep watercraft.
Barefoot is gated and provides manned security but visitor access to the park is granted during the daylight hours year round. The communities include the Beach Gardens, Southport on the Bay, The Cottages, The Villas, and Bayfront Gardens. The community also includes a private beach club, with limited membership, and features both casual and formal dining, a Gulf side pool, fitness center, and several tennis courts. Here is a 460 acre development where most homes have views and access to the soft white sand of one of the finest Gulf beaches - just steps away.
The Beach Gardens are eleven areas of homes sited around a common pool area that opens onto Barefoot Beach. There are very few vacant sites left and the resale price of these homes is from $1M to approximately $9M. The average asking price is $2.5-$3M. The varied design and appeal of these homes range from Tuscany or Italianate villa-style to Key West motif. The Cottages at Barefoot Beach features 15 tri-level homes facing the Gulf and are managed in a condominium style for maintenance free living. Their prices range from $2.5-$4M but average approximately $3M.
The Villas at Barefoot are 50 tri-level condominium style buildings designed in a Key West style. These homes share a private boardwalk to the beach and have several community pools with spa. Their prices range from just under $1M to $2.7M. Southport on the Bay is a gated community of 106 homes, with a few lots for sale, and many of these homes have Gulf of Mexico boat access. Most of these homes have either Bay or preserve views as they are situated on the Bay side of the island. Southport prices range from $1.1M to $4M.
Bayfront Gardens are along Barefoot Beach Boulevard for the most part and all of these homes enjoy Gulf access for boating and are within walking distance to the beach. These homes range from $1.2 to $2.5M in asking price. And, the Barefoot Beach Club condominiums are 12 buildings of 348 homes with four Bay side buildings and eight direct Gulf front. These are seven story buildings with protected under building parking and square footage ranging from 1,600 to 2,200. There are private boardwalks for easy beach access. The Club at Barefoot Beach is located mid-island and features tennis, fitness, cabanas, pool, formal and informal dining. This is a private and member owned club with full beach service and refundable and transferable membership. The club has a membership cap of only 400.
