Both the 1st time buyer tax credit as well as the move up credit have been a serious help to the Real Estate market in my area of Massachusetts. It does not look like it will be extended but honestly it would make sense if it was in order to keep our markets more fluid.

It's true, I feel like many people have heard about the 8k credit, but most people HAVE not heard about the 6.5k credit for existing home owners. Existing home owners make up a large percentage of the people who might possibly be buying homes today, so it's really important that people in the know spread the word about this change...

I am really excited about this extension of the tax credit. It allows quite a few of my friends and clients to take advantage of it! It's truly a great opportunity!

I am glad that Realtors like us are picking up on this credit and really trying to get it out there. The media has done a lousy job of informing the public of the new $6,500 dollar portion of the credit.

I love that the credit has been extended and improved, but why is the media not hitting this hard? I haven't seen much from the media, which makes me upset, they should be hounding this into people, at least NAR should be pushing it. Great article, sorry for the little rant... :)
