Wow, I would be heart broken if my house had such an issue. It makes you wonder what’s in your home that you may not know about. Who knows what health issues are lurking in the walls of your home. Scary to think about.

Although Chinese products may be inferior in quality and lack good standards – the question arises, why the fed’s don’t do a better job of inspecting and testing the products?

I agree with the previous comments regarding standards of things imported from overseas. I feel bad for the thousands of homeowners here in southwest Florida who are battling the red tape because their home was made with Chinese drywall.

Talking about Chinese products I can say that it is true sometimes, that products they are produced are not safe and good quality. Using this is dangerous and might put people lives using that products at risk.

Thought I post a comment about a just released update:

State and federal officials say homeowners shouldn’t worry about radioactivity from Chinese drywall.

According to a report released last Friday, traces of phosphogypsum, or calcium sulfate, were found in chinese drywall samples but the radioactive levels were no higher than what ordinarily would be found in the natural environment.

It is a shame that more was not done to prevent this from happening. The drywall will have to be replaced in many cases resulting in a very large expense and inconvenience for the homeowner.
