Hertz Announces the Relocation of its World Headquarters to Southwest Florida at Coconut Point

The Hertz Corporation announced it will move its World Headquarters to Coconut Point in Estero. Expected to create over 700 jobs, with an average salary of over $100,000 per year, Lee County commissioners worked tirelessly to achieve incentives for Hertz to move to our area. The new facility will be completed in early 20015, and in the interim, Hertz will take up temporary space in North Naples. Located at the southeast corner of US 41 and Williams Road, the new site at Coconut Point was purchased at $11.25M for 34.5 acres. The new green LEEDS design is nearly complete and was presented to Estero Community's Planning Panel and residents in late September with about 250,000 SF for the main facility that will house offices, fitness and child care services for their employees, and a four story garage for parking vs. parking lots, thus reducing their concrete footprint. The first employees from Hertz will be arriving at the temporary offices in North Naples on October the 7th. Check back for further details as this exciting project moves forward for the residents of Estero, Bonita Springs, and North Naples!
Hertz Corp. is a Fortune 300 Company-kudos to Lee County Commissioners for such forward thinking!
