My parents are moving to Las Vegas for very similar reasons that Florida is popular. You would think more states would model this type of motivate people to our states. It works! That should be good news for local realtors. I was in Panama just after AARP rated Panama as one of the best places for Americans to retire and witnessed a real estate boom shortly thereafter. I now operate a real estate company in Medellin, Colombia and see similar prospects here. No international destination will ever take the place of a traditional retirement destination like south Florida, especially with the current prices. Good post! Wow, interesting blog.
